Emma Update

EmmaLee is 2 and a half years old today!

In the past 6 months she...

• can count to 10
• says most of her ABC's. They are painful to listen to because she skips some of the letters and just adds them in randomly.

ex: A B C D E G H I F K "LMN" O R S T F U V Y Z....sing with MEEE!

• completely daytime potty trained. my trust ends when she sleeps...so night time diaper is a must.
• knows most of her colors/animals/shapes
• Favorite...
• movie: Frozen
• TV show: all of Disney Jr.

• Food: cheeseburgers...McDonalds cheeseburgers. bananas, strawberries, apples. Juice boxes (or as she says "Jew boxes") ....I know I shouldn't encourage mispronunciation of words...but I cant help laugh at the Jew boxes.

• Color: bluepurple color. I just asked her....that was the answer. I am pretty sure her favorite is pink.

Danny Update

Danny is 2 months old

 

yes, last week

But I get to snuggle this little man all day long. And he is growing up way too fast. This post sadly started as a "Danny is one month old" post, then changed to "Danny is 6 weeks old" post...and is now a "Danny is 2 months old +" post.

Hopefully I will get it up before he is three months old.

At his 2 month appointment he was...

• 14 lbs 12oz
• 25 and a half inches
• healthy, happy, big boy

He smiled and flirted with the nurses and was happy during a majority of the appointment. The shots at the end did not go so well...he gave me the "what the hell are you doing???" look followed by the "what did I ever do to you??" look. and screaming. lots of screaming. Sorry buddy.

He sleeps from 10 pm to 6 am...every night. Before 6 weeks he never slept at night...then one night he decided to sleep the entire night. Not going to complain. Hopefully typing this will not jinx me.

He is still breastfed about every 3 hours during the day, followed by a 4-6 oz bottle of formula. My boobs hate me. Good thing I live in a time where formula is available...otherwise my babies would be skinny and little...and angry. The only time Danny is angry is when he is hungry. He goes from happy "lets play" to "feed me now damn it" very quickly.

He is in the sleep, eat, play, poop, sleep schedule still. At three months real nap time and structure begins. thank goodness. I am getting out of the 'I have newborn baby' coma and joining the real world again. I might even shower every day this week. holla.

 

Everyday is something new.
